Bio-Medical Engineering Conference

The Dutch Bio-Medical Engineering conference's aim is to let the researchers (staff members, postdocs and PhD students from the Benelux) become acquainted with each other's work.

It's an opportunity to meet with a wide diversity of other scientists in the Netherlands working in the field.

To this end, a varied program of lectures and poster presentations, interrupted by Social Events, is offered for 2 days.

Invited Lectures

Three respected international researchers will give an Invited Lecture and inspire the participants: 

  • Prof. Bart M. ter Haar Romeny, TU Eindhoven, The Netherlands
    Bart M. ter Haar Romeny is professor of Biomedical Image Analysis (BMIA) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, and distinguished professor at Northeastern University in Shenyang, China.

  • Prof. Anthony Bull, Imperial College London, UK
    Anthony Bull FREng is Professor of Musculoskeletal Mechanics at Imperial College London. His research interests are in how forces and deformations are transmitted through the musculoskeletal system.

  • Prof. Richard Reilly, Trinity College, Ireland
    Richard Reilly is Professor of Neural Engineering at Trinity College, The University of  Dublin, a joint position between the School of Medicine and School of Engineering. He is a Principal Investigator of the Trinity Centre for Bioengineering and of the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience.
