Meet us in Innsbruck as well as San Diego

Lifelike cardiac intervention simulation for medical professionals

Imagine being the very first patient to undergo a procedure. Imagine performing that 'new' minimally invasive surgery, and it's your first time… These are just a couple of reasons why training is so important!

LifeTec Group developed the Cardiac Biosimulator platform. It’s a lifelike biosimulator with which dozens of thoracic surgeons and cardiologists have trained themselves over the past few years to perform minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery procedures.

Cardiac surgeon and ‘living legend in surgery’ Dr. Walter Randolph Chitwood Jr. called it “the best of what is currently available in this range”

He compared the training of heart surgeons or cardiologists to the intensive simulator practice that professional pilots have to do on a regular basis.

Dr. Michael Borger (Columbia NewYork-Presbyterian) puts it like this:

“I have worked with a lot of models in my lifetime and this is probably the best one that I’ve seen. It is very realistic. You get good tissue handling feedback immediately and it gives you as a clinician a good first step in order to start implementing these procedures in the operating room.”

Prof. dr. Thomas Walther (University Hospital Frankfurt) says:

“The simulator is reflecting reality really well, as well as possible.”

Improved availability and accessibility

LifeTec Group responds to the enthusiasm of these gentlemen and to ‘the market’:

“We have improved the availability of the platform and we’ve made it more accessible - and we’re working on further improvements as we speak. In order to turn the improvements into a constant, ongoing process, LifeTec Group is preparing a spin-out,” says LifeTec Group CEO Dr. Jurgen de Hart.

“The Cardiac Biosimulator Platform, and the services for ‘lifelike cardiac intervention simulation for medical professionals’, will become a separate company.”

‘Road show’

LifeTec Group aims to personally answer all your questions and those of the press and investors. That’s why the LifeTec Group founders will be ‘on tour’ for the next few months.
