Looking back

We can look back at a wonderful year for which our many thanks to you.

Advancing people and their medtech innovations is our passion, and in 2016 we’ve had the pleasure to serve clients and establish partnerships more than ever. This does not only lead to a success in pursuing our personal drivers but also in creating a 20% business growth. An accomplishment for which we’d like to express our sincere appreciation as well.

A lot has been achieved for and with you in the last year when it comes to preclinical contract research. Each and every project, large or small, gets the same attention and is being approached with the same enthusiasm and devotion. Something you experience as a LifeTec Group relation, but some of these projects were also noticed by a broader audience, including the media, leading to several publications in various magazines.

New directions

2016 was also the year in which we have followed new directions, such as ‘Tech & Training’. We’ve been able to bring our technology platforms to new levels of value creation. Some remarkable cases include ‘Live 3D TEE Intervention Cardiology’ training courses, and the training of renowned physicians in performing ‘Minimal Invasive Mitral Valve Repair’. Accomplishments that were so successful because of the great joint effort with our clients.

Another new direction our company has followed is ‘Acceleration’. With Meliora Medical, a TU/e spin-out developing an implant to treat spinal disorders, the first participation of LifeTec Group as ‘medtech investor’ became reality. In 2016 many innovators and ‘wonderful ideas’ were able to find LifeTec Group, while also social and impact investors more and more show their interest to support the promising cases. We are confident that we will be able to realize increasing innovator-investor matches in 2017.

Social responsibility

Our social responsibility and having been able to embrace this in 2016 holds a prominent position in our annual review: LifeTec Group has to maintain a reputation when it comes to acceleration of medtech innovation. Our support and contribution results in medical solutions to reach the patient quicker, at lower costs. We believe that society, and particularly patients, benefit if medtech becomes more accessible. More accessible to investors, but also to people with good ideas. More accessible to policy makers to keep up with the increasing pace of innovation, as well as to provide supportive means. And, more accessible to developments in adjoining technology sectors.

By making medtech more accessible we can speed up the societal embedding and patients’ benefit of meaningful solutions to existing healthcare problems. Within this context we’re proud to have welcomed foreign delegations of policy makers, renowned field leaders as well as young talents. We’ve joined public/private think tanks and technology clusters. We’ve partnered with medical and technology centers more than ever, and … we’ve made our company more accessible with a new future proof web environment amongst others.

Our warmest wishes

It’s with pleasure and satisfaction that we look back at 2016. It’s with great excitement that we look at the future. We will be at your service again in 2017 with the same devotion and joy!

On behalf of the entire LifeTec Group team:

Our warmest wishes for a very happy and healthy New Year!
