Atlantic Technological University (ATU) recently announced their collaboration with us, Resolution Medical and LifeTec Group, bringing advanced BioSimulation technologies and device development expertise to Galway. We are really looking forward to build on this partnership, and help support startups and SMEs looking to accelerate their medical device innovations.
Over several days a number of Cardiac BioSimulator (CBS) demo’s were performed in ATU’s Medical Imaging Suite in the iHub, giving researchers, startups, and multinationals hands-on access to CBS’s capabilities. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with participants exploring how simulation can improve device design, early-stage validation, and clinical training.
“This collaboration between ATU and Resolution Medical is very significant for the Region,” said George McCourt, Head of Innovation & Enterprise at ATU. “It increases the capability, expertise and innovation of our Start-up community, and offers a unique service to the Medtech sector.”
Our biosimulation offer nicely complements ATU’s existing strengths in Medical Imaging, Anatomical Modelling, and Physiological Replication, already supported by the Enterprise Ireland-funded MET Gateway and the Medical Imaging Suite at the iHub.
