About Nino

Originally from Italy, Nino earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. He began his research career at the Mario Negri Institute (Milan), developing brain-targeted hydrogels for Parkinson’s treatment, before relocating to Germany after receiving the Helmholtz Macromolecular Science Fellowship to join the Institute of Biomaterial Science.

In 2019, Nino moved to the Netherlands to pursue a PhD in Regenerative Medicine at UMC Utrecht through the RESCUE COFUND Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Fellowship. There, he focused on cardiac tissue engineering and bioprinting. In 2021, he received the Material‑Driven Regeneration Young Talent Grant, enabling a collaboration at UC San Diego to develop pig- and human-derived cardiac extracellular matrix biomaterials.

After his PhD, Nino transitioned into healthcare innovation—first as a consultant supporting MedTech startups across Europe in securing financing and strategic partnerships. Later, he joined NLC Health Ventures as Senior Associate, where he led diligence and commercialization efforts for early-stage cardiovascular and MedTech ventures.

Now at LifeTec Group (a Resolution Medical company), he serves as Business Development Manager. Nino leads deal sourcing, forges strategic partnerships, and accelerates cardiovascular devices from concept and pre‑clinical testing to real-world deployment.
